Doug Copeland

Doug "Chick" Copeland, age 54, of Orlando, FL, formerly of Appleton, died on Saturday June 24, 2006 in Orlando. He was born on January 23, 1952 in Wausau, son of Lois Williams and the late James Williams. Doug served in the United States Marine Corps, and he lived by a high code of honor. Chick was an avid hunter, fisherman, and a Bucs fan. Doug was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He was an encourager, and a man of comforting words to all the people whose lives he touched. Survivors include his wife Sue of Orlando, his children Jason (Amber) Copeland of Appleton, Anna (Nashur) Wolfgramm of FL; a granddaughter, Kalani Wolfgramm; his mother Lois Williams of FL; his grandmother, Gladys Treviranus of FL; a brother James Williams of FL; 2 sisters, Anne (Dick) Stecker of Hilbert, DeDe (Richard) Wagner of FL; his father-in-law, Dick Bretl of Appleton; 2 brothers-in-law, Tom Bretl of Appleton, Larry (Connie) Bretl of New London; a sister-in-law, Marie Bretl of FL; an uncle who was like a brother, Pat Treviranus of FL; nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and many friends. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 PM on Saturday July 15, 2006 at the home of Dick Bretl (4901 N. Lyndale Dr.) in Appleton. His cremated remains will be buried at a later date. A memorial fund has been established in the name of Chick Copeland.
