Ronald "RAJJ" A. James

Ronald Alan (RAJJ) James, age 60 years, of Mount Auburn, Iowa, formerly from Vassar, Michigan, passed away with his family by his side on Thursday, December 31, 2015 at the Cedar Valley Hospice Home in Waterloo, Iowa. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 16, 2016 at the First Presbyterian Church of Vassar, 250 W. Huron Avenue, Vassar Michigan, with the Rev. Doug Abel officiating. The family will greet friends from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service and immediately following the service at a luncheon prepared at the church. There will be a jam session Saturday afternoon from 1:30 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. held at the Tool Shed, 12 W. Munger Road, Munger, Michigan. Please bring your instruments and voices to celebrate RAJJ's greatest love. The love of music. If you feel so inclined, stay and hear Ron's friends, The Mysterians play at 8:00 p.m. Ron is survived by his wife, Belinda Christensen James; children, Jeremie Hecht, Amber Callanan Simon, Thomas Callanan and Matthew Callanan; brothers, Bill James, Don James and Clarence (Bud) James; sisters, Cheryl Childs and Pam Carnes and mother, Pauline James. Ron was preceded in death by his father, Clarence James Jr. and a brother, Robert James. Ron was born on August 6, 1955 in Jamestown N.Y. He was an accomplished musician and spent many years touring with various music groups before meeting his wife, Belinda and retiring in Iowa. Ron still played in local bands, including the Ron James Band. The family wishes to thank the Covenant Cancer Center and Cedar Valley Hospice Home in Waterloo, Iowa.
