Born in Martinville, PQ on September 4, 1914, she was the daughter of Ovila Montour and Clarinda (Bourque) Montour Provencal.
Prior to retirement, she had been employed as an inspector with the J.F. McElwain Shoe Company.
She was a member of the A.C.A. and a longtime communicant of St. Anthony of Padua Church.
Lydia was predeceased by her husband Lionel C. Forest and one son, Paul Forest.
Family members include her son Robert L. Forest and his wife Lorraine of Rexford, NY; two grandchildren, Karen Hollowood of Burnt Hills, NY and Kenneth Forest and his wife Julie of Wrightwood, CA; six great-grandchildren.
She was also predeceased by all of her brothers and sisters.
A funeral Mass of Christian burial was celebrated on Thursday, September 3, 2009 in St. Anthony Church, 172 Belmont St, Manchester.
Encryptment followed in Mt. Calvary Cemetery Mausoleum, 474 Goffstown Road, Manchester.
Memorial contributions may be made in her memory to St. Anthony Church Building Fund, 172 Belmont St, Manchester, NH 03103.
