Robert J. (Bob) Gibbons Jr., 63, of Bedford, NH, passed on October 24, 2007.
He was born in Augusta, Georgia on September 23, 1944, the son of M. Mildred (Millie) and Robert (Bob) Gibbons Sr. He attended Waltham High School and Buckingham, Browne & Nichols in Massachusetts, where he excelled in football and basketball. He was a graduate of Northeastern University.
For the past 12 years he had resided in Bedford with his beloved wife Rosemary and their dog Maxx.
He was the Fund Director of Northern New England Benefit Trust in Manchester for the past 15 years. Previously, he owned his own trucking company, Willey's Express.
He lived a very active life, enjoying the game of golf as a member of the Manchester Country Club since 1972, traveling, and spending time with his family. He was a wonderful son, husband, father, brother, grandfather, and friend. Spending time with family and friends was his utmost priority and greatest joy.
Family includes his wife of 20 years, Rosemary (Kehs) Gibbons of Bedford; his mother, M. Mildred (Millie) Gibbons of Waltham, MA; brother, Richard Gibbons of Contoocook; daughters and son-in-laws, Jacqueline and Mark Luetzelschwab of Dallas and Stephanie and Robert Brown of Concord, NH; one son, Robert J. Gibbons III and companion Marsha Campbell of Hooksett, NH; six grandchildren, John, Anna, Samuel, Abigail, Ryan, and Katherine; nieces, nephews, and cousins.
The funeral service was Tuesday October 30, 2007 in the funeral home chapel. Burial followed in Bedford Center Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Hundred Club of New Hampshire Inc., PO Box 23, Manchester, NH, 03105-0023.
