She was born in Manchester on October 3, 1931, the daughter of Edouard and Laura (Drapeau) Pouliot. She was educated at Saint Marie schools.
Prior to raising her family, she had been employed as a secretary with the Hartford Insurance Group in Manchester.
Lorraine was a very vibrant vivacious woman who enjoyed family and friends especially playing golf and bridge at the Manchester Country Club. She loved singing, ballroom dancing, playing the piano, traveling, and spending time by the ocean. She will be remembered for her love of life, entertaining, and fashionable style. She was also an avid Patriots and Notre Dame fan. Above all else, she will be remembered as a loving and devoted wife, mother, Grammie, and Ma'Taunte, and will be dearly missed.
She was predeceased by her husband William F. O'Donnell in 2000.
Family members include two sons, Stephen T. O'Donnell and his wife MaryEllen of Exeter, Michael E. O'Donnell and his wife Kathleen of Westfield, MA; two daughters, Sheila Lorraine O'Donnell of Kennebunk, ME, Cheryl A. O'Donnell and her husband Robert Iodice of Brookline, NH; nine grandchildren, Lauren and Sean O'Donnell, William and Kyle O'Donnell, Keenan, Ameliagh, and Briannagh Beaudette, Samantha and Brandon Iodice; two brothers, Edouard and Albert Pouliot, both of Manchester; one sister, Edna Paquin of Nashua; many nephews, nieces, and cousins along with a phenomenal network of friends, neighbors and extended family.
A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated on Wednesday, December 5, 2012 in St. Elizabeth Seton Church. Encryptment followed in Mt. Calvary Cemetery Mausoleum.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the American Heart Association, 2 Wall St, Manchester, NH 03101.
