Irene N. (Nacewicz) Briggs

Irene N. (Nacewicz) Briggs, of Needham passed away on Mar 6, 2016. She was 93. Born in Agawam, Irene was a resident of Needham for over 50 years and was a longtime member of the Needham Pool and Racquet Club and St. Joseph Parish. She had been a Girl Scout leader, enjoyed skiing, tennis, sewing and knitting. She also an avid bridge player and enjoyed jigsaw puzzles and reading. Irene was the beloved wife of the late Robert M. Briggs, the loving mother of Nancy B. Loderick and her husband Kenneth of Needham and was the sister of the late Stanley, Anthony, John, and Joseph Nacewicz, Bertha Moylan and Genevieve Searle. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and nephews and great grandnieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Mass of Christian Burial in St. Joseph Church, Highland Ave Needham on Thurs Mar 10 at 10 AM. Interment will be private. Visiting hours will be in the Eaton Funeral Home 1351 Highland Ave Needham on Wed 4-7 PM. In lieu of flowers, a donation in memory of Irene to St. Joseph Parish, 1382 Highland Ave Needham MA 02492 would be appreciated.
