Wendy Quarles

Wendy Quarles, 52, of 735 Holloway Avenue, died on Thursday, March 3, 2016 at Self Regional Medical Center. Born in McCormick, she was the daughter of Maggie Middleton Quarles and the late George James Quarles. She was employed with Cooper Power. She was preceded in death by one son, Marctavious Quarles and one sister, Maggie Lou Quarles. She leaves to cherish her memories, two daughters, Kenyatta Quarles of McCormick and Klelekka Quarles of the home; her mother and stepfather, Johnny Ferguson; five brothers, James Quarles, Roosevelt (Elease) Robinson, Vernon (Towanda) Quarles and David (Semetrius) Quarles, all of Greenwood and Jerry Lewis (Sharon) Quarles of Charlotte, NC; five sisters, Hazel Middleton of Greenville, SC, Cindy Quarles, Mamie Quarles and Barbara Ann Quarles, all of Greenwood and Mary (Thaddeus) Quarles of McCormick; seven grandchildren; a godson, Tavon Morton; a special friend, Willie Lark; and a host of other relatives and friends to mourn her passing. Funeral services are 2 p.m. on Thursday, March 10, 2016 at Mt. Moriah Baptist Church, conducted by Rev. Clifford Jackson. The body will be placed in the church at 1 p.m. Burial will follow in Overbrook Cemetery, McCormick. The family is at the home and at the home of her mother, 157 Pinehill Circle in McCormick.
