Mrs. Margaret "Sid" Moore

Margaret Risk “Sid� Moore passed away on November 30, 2008 after a long illness at Wilcox Hall, Holston Valley Medical Center. She was a homemaker and took special pleasure in collecting, entertaining family and friends, and winning at bridge. She was a member of the Colonial Heights United Methodist Church. She was born in Kingsport on December 23, 1918 and was the daughter of Thomas C. and Ida A. Risk. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of sixty-two years, John T. “Jack� Moore, and her brother, Thomas C. Risk, Jr. She is survived by her sons, Robert Moore and wife Barbara (Oswego, NY) and Michael Moore (Nashville, TN); granddaughters, Sarita Moore (Arlington, VA) and Laura Moore (Brooklyn, NY); three nieces and a nephew. The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM in the J. Wayne Hamilton Memorial Chapel of Oak Hill Funeral Home. Funeral Services will follow with Reverend Tom Seay officiating.
