Jay was born April 16, 1953 in Wichita, Kansas to John and Barbara Christy. He died August 12, 2009 in Liberty, Missouri. Jay attended school in Wichita, graduating from North High School and attended WSU for one year. He loved Golden Retrievers and all dogs, music, trees and flowers and Cubs baseball. Jay was employed by Children’s Mercy Hospital as a grounds keeper. He is survived by his wife “love of his life�, Sharon, his mother Barbara Christy, his sister Diane Christy, his son Cory, his step-son Jason, best friend Clay Rader, and his loyal friend his “grand niece Mollie� who loved him very much. We loved you so much and miss you. Rest in peace and visit with your family, friends and Maggie and Waif. “Keep the lights on ~ Till we meet again.� There are no services planned at this time. Memorial contributions may be made to Liberty Animal Shelter, 1501 E. Old 210, Liberty, MO 64068.
