Barbara Ann Templeton

Barbara Ann Templeton, the daughter of Jack J. and Lucille E. (Mertz) Davis, was born December 20, 1934 at Lake City, Iowa. She passed away on Monday, March 1, 2010 at Red Oak Rehab & Care Center, Red Oak, Iowa at the age of 75 years, 2 months and 9 days. Barbara was raised and attended school in Red Oak. She was united in marriage to Darwin L. Templeton on December 2, 1952 in Red Oak, Iowa. Barbara was a nurse aide during her working years. In 1972, Barbara and Darwin made Florida their home. She had a 'green thumb' and while living in Florida enjoyed raising African violets. Following Darwin's death in 1993, Barbara returned to Red Oak. She enjoyed crocheting and made many items for her family. Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, husband: Darwin on August 7, 1993 and son: Keith on August 27, 2006. Barbara is survived by 3 brothers: Jack Davis and wife Nancy of Red Oak, Iowa; Carl Davis and wife Nancy of Marshfield, MO; Michael Davis of Amite, LA; sister: Shirley Ross and husband Joseph of Red Oak, Iowa; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Memorial Service will be held Friday, March 5, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. at Sellergren-Lindell-DeMarce Funeral Home Inurnment at Evergreen Cemetery, Red Oak A memorial is being established in Barbara's name.
