Kingsport-Ronald D. “Ronnie� Fields, age 65, of Kingsport went to be with the Lord on Friday, March 12, 2010. He was born on December 9, 1944 in Big Stone Gap Virginia. He served in the United States Army. “Ronnie� was a loving brother and caring person. He enjoyed working with his hands, could build anything, created neon signs as a hobby and was a collector of antique, stamps and old cars. He valued his education taking several courses on many different subjects. He was preceded in death by his parents, John Wiley Fields and Devona Mae Winstead Fields and two sisters, Dorothy Louise Gregg and Barbara J. Jones. “Ronnie� is survived by sister, Clara Fields Mock, brother, Harvey Fields, step sister, Betty Haynes, step brother, William Minor and nieces, nephews, step niece and great nieces and great nephews. Services were private and at the convenience of the family. The family would like to thank the staff of Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center, ICU Step Down, and Hospice at Wilcox Hall. Memorial contributions may be made to Wellmont Hospice, 130 West Ravine Kingsport, TN 37660.
