Julie E. DeVore

IRON MOUNTAIN - Julie E. DeVore, 15, of 723 West A St. in Iron Mountain, died Sunday, Nov. 5, 2006, at Dickinson County Memorial Hospital in Iron Mountain. Julie was born on March 13, 1991, in Iron Mountain. She was raised in the area and was currently a sophomore at Iron Mountain High School. Julie enjoyed all sports and participated in soccer, volleyball, track and basketball. She is survived by her parents, Dean and Lauri (Hughes) Francis of Iron Mountain; two brothers, Eric (Nikki) Chrisman of Norway and Adam Francis of Iron Mountain; two sisters, Lynn (Dale) Currie of Kingsford and Tonya DeGrave of Iron Mountain; grandparents, Shirley and Dale "Skip" Hughes of Quinnesec and Pat and Norman Francis of Iron Mountain; nieces and nephews, Dustin, Nicholas, Hailey and Paige Currie, Hanna and Abbie Chrisman, and Courtney and Dawson Stamper; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Julie was preceded in death by her great-grandparents, Elizabeth and Emil Bolan, Herbert Hughes, and Doris LeMieux. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Erickson-Rochon and Nash Funeral Home in Iron Mountain. Funeral services will follow at 1:30 p.m. at the funeral home. Pastor Mark Markham will officiate. Burial will be in Norway Township Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established in Julie's memory.
