January 23, 1963- March 20, 2010
Garry James Terry, 47, a native of Kingsville, TX and a resident of Centerville, passed away Saturday, March 20, 2010, at 12:45 AM at his residence. Garry was a devoted husband, fantastic father, and loving brother, who was employed by the United States Postal Service as a letter carrier for the past 19 years. He was an avid bass fisherman, competed in many bass tournaments, and loved fishing with his wife. He enjoyed woodworking, do-it-yourself projects, helping others, cooking, and just spending time with his family and friends. Garry is survived by his wife of 20 years, Andre' Rogers Terry of Centerville; his daughter, Ashton Olivia Terry of Centerville; three brothers, Larry Gene Terry of Centerville, Robert "Bobby" Anthony Terry of Centerville, and Mark Edward Terry and his wife, Karen Luke Terry, of Centerville; two sisters, Linda Terry Fouquier of Addis, and Mary Ellen Terry of Centerville; numerous nieces and nephews, and one great nephew; his dog, Blaze; and his two cats, Figit and Jasper. He was preceded in death by his father, Roy E. "Bud" Terry and his mother, Lena Mae Perera Terry. The family requests that visiting hours be observed Wednesday, March 24th, at Ibert's Mortuary, from 6 PM until 9 PM, with the rosary being prayed at 6:30 PM. Visitations will resume Thursday, March 25th, at Ibert's Mortuary at 10 AM until 12:30 PM. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 1:00 PM at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Centerville. Burial will follow in the St. Joseph Cemetery. Father Ruben Primor will conduct the services. Pallbearers will be Larry Terry, Mark Terry, Mikey Fouquier, Clint Terry, Clay Terry, Brendan Terry, Troy Naquin, and Alan Broussard. Honorary pallbearers will be David Rogers, Robert "Bobby" Terry, and Guy Derouen. To view the obituary online and leave condolences for the Terry family, please visit www.iberts.com.
