Deborah Byrne Tynan

Deborah Byrne Tynan passed away unexpectedly Saturday, November 6, 2010 in New Orleans, LA, surrounded by her family. She was 62. She was the daughter of the late Delbert and Dorothy Byrne of Wapakoneta, OH. She is survived by her three children: Sean Tynan of Sarasota, FL, Kelley Tynan (and her husband, Michael Caramelo) of Washington, DC, and Bridget Tynan (and her husband, Carey Johnson) of New Orleans, LA, her sister Christina Byrne of Quito, Ecuador, her nephew Tom Taubken of New Orleans, and two beautiful granddaughters, Cayley and Audrey. Numerous close friends also survive her. Deborah was a graduate of St. Joseph High School (Wapakoneta, Ohio), St. Mary’s College in Notre Dame, IN (Queen’s Court), and the University of New Orleans (MBA). As the Financial Controller, she spent her professional career passionately dedicated to the success of multiple downtown New Orleans hotels including Westin, Le Meridien, Chateau Sonesta, and, most recently, Loew’s New Orleans. She considered the close friends she made here her second family. She was also a member of the New Orleans chapter of the Hospitality Financial and Technology Professionals organization.
