Joanie Green

Joanie Green, 59, passed away on December 23, 2010 surrounded by loved ones. Joanie was born on July 24, 1951 in Bay Minette, Alabama. She was the loving wife of Wayne S. Green for 30 years, mother of Mark J. Vicich, Timothy W. Green and Michael S. Green and grandmother of Matthew and Christopher Vicich. Joanie was preceded in death by her father, Vernon Boyington, sister Louise Adcock and brothers Elward “Nicky� Boyington and Elwood “Rocky� Boyington of Bay Minette, Alabama. Joanie is also survived by her mother, Esther David Boyington, sisters Trisha Benesch, Penny Piazza, and brothers Vic Boyington and Rodney Boyington. Beloved sister-in-law to Diane Green, Warren Green, Darlene Ehrhart, Donna Seibert and Dee Donaldson, all from Louisiana. She was loved by many nieces and nephews. Joanie and Wayne lived in New Orleans, LA for 10 years then moved to Atlanta, Boston, and currently resided in Plano, TX for the last 13 years. Joanie was a member of Parkway Hills Baptist Church in Plano, TX. Joanie was known among family and friends as the most loving and giving wife, mother, daughter, sister, sister-in-law and friend. Joanie dearly loved her kitty, Maryjane. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation to be held at ST. BERNARD MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 701 W. Virtue St., Chalmette, LA on Thursday, December 30th from 9:00AM – 12:00PM, followed by a Funeral Mass beginning at 12:00PM. Burial will follow in St. Bernard Memorial Gardens.
