Steven was born on March 18, 1957 in Dubuque, IA, son of Eugene and Darlene (Maiden) Plumley, Sr. Steven married Laura Kohnen on June 5, 1976, in Dubuque. They have been happily married for 35 years. He worked for Airways Inc for 15 years. Steve was a big fan of Jeff Gordon and Elvis Presley. He also loved working on old custom cars, going to car shows and swap meets. He was an outstanding dancer and really enjoyed dancing. His greatest joy was spending time with family and friends, especially his grandchildren. Steven is survived by his wife, Laura Plumley, Dubuque a son: Scott (Becky Roepsch) Plumley, Dubuque, IA a daughter: Nicole "Bo" Plumley, Dubuque grandchildren; Cole, Austin Chloe, and Valerie Plumley his mother: Sandi Plumley, Dubuque, IA his siblings: Eugene "Sonny" Plumley Jr. Daniel (Roxanne) Plumley, Holy Cross, IA Robert "Bob" (Joy Cavinta) Plumley, Tigard, OR Tamula (Tim) Ware, Asbury, IA JoLynn (Charles Koranda) Plumley, Dubuque, IA Nova (Tom) Crawford, Casper, WY Pam (Al Gardner) Stock, Brainerd, MN Mike Zickuhr, Dubuque, IA his grandparents: Virginia McNamer and Robert (Linda) McNamer 3 brothers-in-law: Terry (Heather) Kohnen, Tiffin, IA Doug (Diane) Kohnen, Dubuque, IA Greg (Dollie) Kohnen, Dubuque, IA a sister-in-law: Karen Kohnen, Dubuque, IA many nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts and cousins special friends: John (Dori) Puccio, Tom Kerstine, Mandy Pedretti, Louie Roepsch and Shelby Plumley Steven was preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers Lonny and Gary Plumley, his grandparents Dorothy and Lester Plumley and Harry and Velma Maiden, his mother and father-in-law Lavonda and Richard Kohnen, a sister-in-law Laura Plumley, a nephew Lane Daniel Plumley. In lieu of flowers a Steven H. Plumley memorial fund has been established. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the nurses and staff of University of Iowa Hospital, Dubuque Internal Medicine and Hospice of Dubuque.
