Matthew Dale Rose age 21 of Wartburg went to be with the lord, due to a single car accident on Hwy 62 in Wartburg. Matt was a graduate of Wartburg High School where he was a member of the football team. He was a graduate of TTC-Harriman. He was currently employed by the Morgan County Sheriffs Dept. as a correctional officer. He was a proud member of Mossy Grove Baptist Church. Matt was a man who loved hunting, spending time with his many many friends, and spent most of his time being the most loving caring son, brother, grandson, father, husband and friend to all he knew.

Funeral 8 PM Tuesday January 12, 2010 at Mossy Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Benji Blakney and Rev. David Goodman officiating. Interment 1 PM Wednesday at Mossy Grove Baptist Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM Tuesday at Mossy Grove Baptist Church.
