Mrs. Florence W. Ledbetter

Mary Florence Ledbetter age 95 went to be with her Lord on Sunday April 8th, 2012 at MedWest Haywood. She was a lifelong resident of the Bethel/Lake Logan Community and the daughter of the late William "Bill" Warren and Irene Warren Chambers. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Horace "Bant" Ledbetter who died in 1966; two sisters Jessie Allison and Hazel Phillips; one son Fred Ledbetter; one grandson Bryan Blanton, and one great-grandson Ryan Ledbetter. Florence retired from the Ledbetter Grocery of which she was the owner and operator for over forty years. She attended the Full Gospel Holiness Church in Cruso, NC. Left to cherish her memory are two sons Harold Ledbetter and his wife Mildred, Wayne Ledbetter; one daughter Patricia Blanton and her husband Robert all of Waynesville; twelve grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren. Funeral Services will be on Saturday April 14, 2012 at 2PM in the Chapel of Garrett Funeral Home. Rev. Allen Blanton (grandson) will officiate. Burial will follow at the Bethel Cemetery. The family will receive friends from Noon until 2PM. Memorial Contributions may be made in her memory to Ninevah Baptist Church or to Center Pigeon Baptist Church.
