Bud Tipton

Bud (Elvis Houston) Tipton age 77 of Maryville went home to be with his Lord on Thursday, May 3, 2012 at Blount Memorial Hospital. He retired from Alcoa and was a member of their 25-Year Club. Bud was a member of Old Piney Grove Baptist Church. He was a wonderful husband, father, brother and friend who will deeply missed by all who knew him. Preceded in death by: Parents, Vernie & Anna Tipton; Grandparents, Rev. & Mrs. Johnny Tipton. Survivors include: Loving and devoted wife of 59 years, Merle Keller Tipton; Son & Daughter-in-law, Chuck & Benita Tipton of Maryville; Daughter and Fiancé, Teresa Owens and Ken Wahlers of Maryville; Grandchildren, Ryan & Stephanie Tipton, Trea Tipton, Kendra Swafford, Roger & Sarah Owens all of Maryville; Great-Granddaughter, Molly Tipton; Sisters, Laverne Cable, Barbara & Johnny Skinner, and Edith & Larry Dixon; Aunts, Betty, Inez, and Jean. Funeral service will be at 3:00 PM, Sunday, May 6, 2012 at Smith Trinity Chapel with Rev. Rex Everett officiating. Interment will follow at Grandview Cemetery.
