Mr. Kenneth E. Schneider

Kenneth E. Schneider, 86, of Lincoln, died on Saturday, July 21, 2012. He was born on July 26, 1925 to Edwin and Meta Schneider in Gurley, NE. He graduated from Kimball High School in 1943. Kenneth served with the U.S. Navy Seabees in the Philippines and China during World War II. He was united in marriage on July 24, 1955 to Leah Rae Daggett in Gering, Ne. He worked for the Nebraska Department of Roads as Highway Statistics Supervisor and retired from that position in 1990. Kenneth was a Lifetime member of the American Legion. He loved gardening and enjoyed model trains. Kenneth is survived by his beloved wife, Leah Rae. Son, Jeffrey P. Schneider of Chicago, Granddaughter, Nga Le (Scott) Woodin. Great-granddaughters Alany Orozco and Vanessa Woodin of Bloomingdale, Ill. Sister-in-law, Sherry (John) Gifford of Banner County, Ne. Preceded in death by his parents.
