Janice E. Baxter

Janice E. "Jan" Baxter , age 70 , of Howland Township died Tuesday morning, July 31, 2012 at St. Joseph Health Center in Warren. She was born January 3, 1942 in Warren the daughter of the late Delbert Lloyd and Lois Rohrbaugh Mines. Jan was a 1960 graduate of Howland High School. She retired from Howland Local Schools, where she worked as a school secretary for many years. Jan was a member of Howland Community Church. She had enjoyed reading and spending time with her family. Her whole life was dedicated to making friends and helping people in need. Jan is survived by her husband of 51 years, Norm R. Baxter, whom she married July 15, 1961; one daughter, Holly E. Marchio of Cortland; one son, Brian E. (Stacy) Baxter of Howland; two granddaughters, Hayley and Shelby Marchio; one grandson, Jakob Baxter and one brother, Thomas L. Mines of Howland. The family will receive friends from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at Lane Family Funeral Homes, Roberts-Clark Chapel and 1 hour prior to the 11 a.m. funeral service Saturday at the funeral home, with Rev. Brian Byrne officiating. Burial will be in Howland Township Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Cleveland Clinic Foundation, 9500 Euclid Avenue, Cleveland 44195.
