Philip W. Davis Philip W. Davis 59, of Beckley went home to be with the Lord on Thursday September 27, 2012 at his residence following a very short battle with cancer. Born October 22, 1952, in Boston Mass. He was the son of the late Earl V. "Boots" and Delores DeLung Davis. Philip was a Unit Manager for the WV Division of Corrections, working in the Beckley Correctional Facility in Pinecrest Hospital. He dearly loved his job. He was a member of the Wesleyan Chapel on Johnstown Road in Beckley, and he dearly loved his church, where he taught Sunday School and Bible study. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers-in-law Luther Baugh and Roy Baugh. Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife of 19 years, Edna Baugh Davis of the home; his son, Philip W. Davis II and his wife, Angela of Kentucky; his daughter Adrianne Ashburn of Kentucky; his step-daughter, Vicky Johnson and husband, Bill of Peterstown; grandson, whom he was helping to raise Philip W. Davis III of Beckley; grandson, Issac Davis of Kentucky; granddaughter Morgan Ashburn of Kentucky; step-granddaughter, Kayla McClung and husband, Patrick of Peterstown; three brothers, Steve Davis, David Davis, and Kevin Davis all of Oak Hill; one sister, Cheryl Campbell and husband, Zenis of Oak Hill. Two special brother-in-laws Walter Baugh, and wife Francis of Daneese, Paul Kenney and wife Ruby of Pineville, A special aunt Peggy Jones of Oak Hill, a host of Aunts and Uncles, nieces and nephews and beloved friends, and his dear little dog Sassy. In keeping with his wishes Philip has been cremated. Services celebrating Philip's life will be held 11:00AM Sunday October 21, 2012 at the Wesleyan Chapel on Johnstown Road in Beckley, with Pastor John Hart and Pastor Jimmy Fitzpatrick officiating.
