DOROTHY R. SIFFERLEN

SIFFERLEN DOROTHY R. SIFFERLEN (nee Cosgrove), age 96. Passed away peacefully with her family surrounding her on October 29, 2012 at Parkside Villa Nursing Home. Beloved wife of the late Albert L. Loving mother of Albert F. (Lynn), Janet Sipl (George), Gregory (Sheriah) and the late John. Cherished grandmother of Lynette, Raymond, Jacquie Brengartner, Alan Sabo, Craig and Anisa Norman, Carys; great grandmother of Kaleb, Clayton, Kyle, Evyn, Kayla, Savannah, Michael, Matthew, Gabriel, Garrett, Grayson, Ariana and Meadow; great great grandmother 1. Dearest daughter of the late Frank and Elizabeth Cosgrove of Patterson, N. J. Dear sister of Marion Behnke and the late Ruth Petrichko and Frank D. Cosgrove. Also survived by nieces, nephews and dear friends. Dorothy was devoted to her family all of her life. She had a spirit for adventure and loved to travel, raising her family in 8 states over 3 decades as her husband relocated with his job as a marine joiner. Dorothy held various positions over her lifetime, starting as a clerk at A&P and eventually culminating with a long and successful civil service career. She was always devoted to her faith and no matter where she lived became actively involved as a volunteer giving back to the local parish. She was an avid collector of figurines and plates. She loved to spend time with loved ones and friends playing games. She especially enjoyed playing tiles. Dorothy and Albert retired at their home in Deerfield Beach, Fl. in 1986. They traveled frequently, enjoyed their senior community activities and welcomed visitors from the north anytime. She was blessed to have her sister and brother join her in Deerfield Beach up until the passing of her beloved husband. Dorothy then moved to Middleburg Hts., Oh. To live with her daughter, where she has spent the past 12 years enjoying summers with friends and their summer home. Mass of Christian Burial Saturday November 3, 2012 St. Mary Church, 250 Kraft St. at 10:00AM. Interment Calvary Cemetery (Patterson, N.J.). The family will receive friends FRIDAY 5 – 8 PM at A. RIPEPI & SONS FUNERAL HOME, 18149 BAGLEY ROAD, MIDDLEBURG HEIGHTS (WEST OF I-71).
