TOPSFIELD- Attorney Stephen Clark, 61, died November 17, 2012, with his family by his side in Topsfield, after a two-year battle with multiple myeloma. Stephen was born April 12, 1951 to Rev. and Mrs. Henry and Ruth Clark and grew up in Lexington. Stephen attended Lexington High School where he excelled in tennis and basketball. He met his wife, Wendy, at Boston University, where he majored in Political Science. He earned his master's degree from George Washington University and his J.D. from Suffolk University Law School. Stephen then co-founded his own law firm and practiced real estate law for 31 years. When Stephen and his family moved to Topsfield in 1980, he became involved in many aspects of town government. He served on the Planning Board, Board of Selectmen, and held positions as Town Moderator and Fence Viewer. He also served as Moderator for the Congregational Church of Topsfield and sat on several church boards. In 2003 he ran a zealous campaign for State Representative and enjoyed being involved in politics. One of Stephen's greatest pleasures was being the family genealogist. He was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and loved finding new links to ancestors and relatives. Stephen is survived by his wife of 38 years, Wendy; daughter and son-in-law, Amelia and Barry; son and daughter-in-law, Henry and Jennifer; two sweet grandchildren, Irene and Nathaniel, as well as granddaughter-to-be, due in January, 2013; brothers Hank and Peter Clark; mother, Ruth Clark; and many cousins, nieces, and nephews. ARRANGEMENTS: His memorial service will be held on Sunday, Nov. 25th, 2012, in the Congregational Church of Topsfield, 9 East Common Street,Topsfield,at 2p.m. Assisting the family with the arrangements is the Peterson-O'Donnell Funeral Home 167 Maple St. (Rte. 62), Danvers. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to: Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation, 383 Main Avenue, 5th Floor, Norwalk, CT 06851 or online at www. themmrf.org.

Dear Wendy, Henry, and Amelia,

I mourn Steve's passing. My only consolation is that I know he is in a better place, surrounded by goodness and love.

Steve changed my life in immeasurable ways, and for that I will always be thankful. He was a great and good man and our memories of him will keep him alive for us forever.
