CAIN, John Norman; age 81, died December 9, 2012 after a long struggle with repercussions from an auto accident. He was born in Washington, PA to Bertha and Francis. He is predeceased by his brother Francis Jr. and his sister Margaret. He is survived by his ex-wife Jean, his daughters Cindie (Ernie) Bucks, Jill (Mick) Nylander, his son Jeff (Becky), by six grandchildren: Jessie, Janae, Lexi, Max, Nathan and Jenna, by two great grandchildren: Will and Weston, by his brother Don of Washington, PA and by 13 nieces and nephews. He graduated from Waynesburg College in Pennsylvania and went immediately into the US Army to serve in Korea. Obtaining his Masters degree from the University of Michigan and his doctorate from Michigan State University, John was a dynamic educator at Fraser High school, Michigan State University and Oakland Schools where he established strong vocational programs. In 1965, he was awarded Michigan's Teacher of the Year by Governor Milliken. After leaving the education profession in 1972, John obtained a realtor's license, then owned and managed several business enterprises. Visitation Tuesday 3-9pm. Funeral with military honor rendered by the US Army Wednesday 11:30am at Wujek-Calcaterra & Sons, Inc., 36900 Schoenherr at Metro Parkway (16 Mile). Inurnment, Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly. Jeff, Jill & Cindy, I am very sad to hear of your dads passing. While I haven't seen your family in years, I still have fond, fun memories of Ocean City and the Cain's Lounge days. Your family will be in my prayers at this very sad time, May he rest in peace.
