James Bernard Fields

James Bernard Fields passed away on Friday, December 7, 2012 . Beloved husband of Beverly Beninate Fields. Father of Melanie Roser (Gerald) and Zachary Fields (Audra). Son of the late William Fields, Sr. and Anita Comeaux Fields. Brother of Anita Melkild, Sister Therese Fields, Catharine Bourg, Rita Toups and the late William Fields, Jr. Grandfather of Gerald and Stephen Roser and Adam and Brent Fields. He served in the U. S. Navy during the Korean War. He attended LSU and Aeronautical School in Los Angeles. He worked for Boeing and retired from Martin Marietta. He was an avid sports fan especially of college ball. The family would like to give a special thanks to Hospice Associates, Dr. Leslie Rodrigue, and Denise Faucheux. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at LAKE LAWN METAIRIE FUNERAL HOME, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. on Tuesday, December 11, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Lake Lawn Park Mausoleum. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until service time.
