ALUZZO, Vincent "Jim" Peter died January 30, 2013 after a year-long struggle with dementia. He was 86. Born in Detroit to Italian immigrants Anna and Salvatore Aluzzo, he served in the Army in Europe during WWII. After the war he attended General Motors Institute, beginning a 40-year career at Cadillac. He retired in 1986. He enjoyed music, golf and bowling. His wife of 63 years, Sarah, died April 5, 2012. He is survived by six children: Annette (Dennis) Kingsbury, Denise (Charles) Hessler, Nadine (Roger) Weyersberg, Adrienne Aluzzo, Michelle (Gregory) Skurya and Salvatore Aluzzo. Nine grandchildren also survive. His brothers, Angelo and Peter, predeceased him very recently. Visitation Friday 3-9pm at Wujek-Calcaterra & Sons, Inc., 36900 Schoenherr at Metro Parkway (16 Mile). Instate Saturday 9:30am until time of 10am Mass at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 4580 N. Adams (N. of Wattles). Interment, Cadillac Memorial Gardens East, Clinton Twp.
