Amulek Bretton Stone

Amulek Bretton Stone, 17, of Mont Belvieu, Texas, passed away at a local hospital on Monday, March 4, 2013. He was born September 15, 1995, to Ammaron John Stone and Tatum Lynne Hope Stone in Huntsville, Texas. Amulek was a junior student at Barbers Hill High School in Mont Belvieu. For three years he was on the swim team and baseball manager. He also was active in debate and was a life scout who was working on becoming an Eagle Scout. Amulek was also a lifetime member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He was active in the youth program at Baytown Second Ward. Preceded in death by his uncle, Harrison Clayton Hope; great grandparents, Clinton and Ruth Flowers, Veneta and Gerald Hope, John and Vivian Heinz and Richard and Lorraine Stone; Amulek is survived by his parents and his brothers, Ammon Michael Stone, Helaman John Stone and Moroni Patrick Stone and sisters, Taylynne Marie Stone and Christina Kathleen Nelson; paternal grandparents, Richard John Stone and Nannette Marie Stone, of Missouri City, Texas; paternal aunt and uncle, Sariah Mariza Fuller and Steven Lynn Fuller; uncles, Edward Heinz, John Heinz and Bruce Stone, and wife, Audrey Stone, and cousins, Gideon Anthony Fuller, Garrett Steven Fuller, Alaina Marie Fuller, Liberty Ann Fuller, Kallia Josephine Fuller, Charity Michelle Fuller, all of Lehi, Utah. Amulek is also survived by his maternal grandparents, Larry William Hope and Vicki Lynne Hope; uncle, Heath Eliot Hope and wife, Elyn Marie Hope and cousins, Kassidi Taylor Hope and Harrison Chance Hope; uncle, Houston Williams Hope and wife, Nicole Alice Hope, and cousins, Lincoln William Hope, Peytyn Ashlyn Hope and Haydyn Alexis Hope, all of Mont Belvieu, and many other loving friends and family members. The family will receive friends from 4 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, March 7, 2013, at Crespo & Jirrels Funeral Home. On the day his family celebrates Amulek's cherished little brother, Moroni's first birthday, they will celebrate Amulek's life at 10 a.m. on Friday, March 8, 2013, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 1010 Birdsong, Baytown. Burial will follow at Cedarcrest Cemetery. In death, as in life, Amulek was able to help countless others through the gift of tissue donation through LifeGift.
