Mr. Anthony Chillemi

Anthony Chillemi April 9, 2013 Anthony Chillemi, 88, of Oswego died Tuesday morning in St. Luke Health Services, Oswego. Mr. Chillemi was born in Elizabeth, NJ, the son of the late Joseph and Rosaria (Juiffre) Chillemi, and he has been a resident of Oswego for most of his life. Mr. Chillemi was a muck farmer in Oswego with his brothers at the Chillemi Brothers Farm. He served in the United States Airforce with the 330th Bomber Group from 1944 until 1945. He was a former member of the St. Joseph Golden Age Group. Mr. Chillemi is survived by his wife Betty Chillemi of Oswego,stepsons Joseph McConkey of Florida, Martin (Deborah) McConkey of Minetto, brother Francis Chillemi of Oswego, sister Mary McLaughlin of Oswego. He was predeceased by his brothers Dominic and Joseph Chillemi. Funeral services will be conducted Friday 9:00 a.m. in St. Joseph Church. Burial will be in St. Peter Cemetery. Calling hours will be Thursday 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. at the Sugar & Scanlon Funeral Home, 147 W. 4th St., Oswego.
