Adele Broad Clark

Adele Broad Clark, 91 of Crystal Falls, MI, passed away on Monday, May 13th, 2013 at the Iron County Medical Care Facility in Crystal Falls. Adele was born August 9th, 1921 in Crystal Falls, daughter of William Broad and Minnie (Bauer) Broad. She was a 1939 graduate of Crystal Falls High School and attended Albion College School of Business. Adele was a longtime member of the American Business Women's Association. She was very active in her church, both in Ann Arbor and Crystal Falls. Adele coordinated the Chrysler Grandmother's club in Ann Arbor for many years. Adele was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur S. Clark in 1991, her daughter, Artie Lou Orlik in 2010, two brothers, Willis Broad and John "Jake" Broad, and one sister, Katherine Broad. Adele is survived by two granddaughters, AnneBritt Orlik of Madison, WI and Katrina Phelps of Bowling Green, KY; two great-grandchildren, Alyssa and Riley Phelps; her son in law, Peter Orlik of Madison, WI; one sister, Ellen Dillon of Pembroke Pines, FL; her sister-in-law, Evelyn Broad of Crystal Falls; and several nieces and nephews, including Beverly Adele Broad of Crystal Falls and William M. Broad of Coon Rapids, MN. Visitation will be held on Monday, May 20, 2013 from 9-10:30am at the Nash Funeral Home in Crystal Falls. Funeral services will be held Monday at 11:00am in the Chapel of Peace at the Iron County Medical Care Facility. Rev. Micheal Laakko will officiate. Burial will be in the Evergreen Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Roger Stoor, Scott Kenny, Geoff Lawrence, and Steve Simbob. A luncheon will follow at 1:00pm in the Victorian Heights Assisted Living dining room. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Iron County Medical Care Facility Foundation to support end of life care.
