DAUTERIVE, JAMES D. was born March, 24, 1923 in Varnado, LA and died on May 7, 2013 in Dallas, TX. He is preceded in death by his parents, James B. and Esmee; brothers, Jerry and Buck; sister, Sophie Matthews and the light of his life, granddaughter, Aimi Owens. Mr. Dauterive is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Marjorie, daughter and son-in-law, Vickie and Robert Owens; son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Patty Dauterive, all of Dallas. He is also survived by daughter and son-in-law, Teri and John Tucker of Herndon, VA; sister, Challie Berry of Royse City; grandchildren, Kyle Owens, Wester and Jonathan Tucker, Nicole and Elizabeth Dauterive. He came to Dallas at age 5 and attended Dallas schools, graduating from North Dallas High School in 1941. He served in the United States Navy during World War II. After returning to Dallas he was employed by Westinghouse Corporation for 34 years, retiring in 1985. Mr. Dauterive was a member of Lake Highland United Methodist Church and Dallas Elks Lodge #71, where he served as an Officer for 3 years. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations should be made to Elks Lodge #71, 8550 Lullwater, Dallas, TX 75238 for its charitable programs. Visitation will be held from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Thursday, May 9, 2013 at Restland Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held Friday, May 10, 2013 at 12:30 PM at Restland Wildwood Chapel.
