Mr. Jack R. Delaney

Jack R. Delaney, 81, passed away May 8, 2013 at home with his family. He was born July 27, 1931 in Pomona, California, to Lewis and Pearl Delaney. He came to Barstow with his family in 1946, attending Barstow Union High School. He spent much of his adult life in Pomona, then returned to Barstow in 1986. Jack was a member of the Carpenters Union Local 944 for 60 years, and was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Barstow for 27 years. Jack is survived by his wife Daisy Delaney, his two sons Jim and Tim and their families, Daisy's four children and their families, his brother William Delaney and several nieces and nephews. Services for Jack will be held on Thursday, May 16, 2013 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 505 E. Mt. View St. Visitation will be at 8:30 am, Rosary at 9:00 am, and the Funeral Mass at 10:00 am. Burial will be in Pomona at a later date.
