Mrs. Constance Land Salter Wolfe

New Bern – Constance Land Salter Wolfe, 76, of Croatan Village, formerly of Westwood Arms Apartments, took her journey home on Friday, July 12, 2013. Ms. Wolfe was predeceased by her parents, Darrel and Alice Morris Land. Ms. Wolfe is survived by her three daughters, Deborah Evans-Salter of Raleigh, Diana Salter Hardison (George Murray, Jr.) and Darlene Salter Dunn (James Dunn), of New Bern. Ms. Wolfe has two grandsons, Benjamin El. Hudson, II (Lauren) and Matthew Marc Harvey, one granddaughter, Ashley Dunn, and one great-granddaughter, Ella Grace Hudson. Ms. Wolfe is also survived by three sisters, Geraldine Husby (Dan) of New Mexico, Yolanda Harris (Robert) of Tennessee, and Donna Nelson (Rickey) of Texas; and one brother, Gary Land (Shirley) of Georgia and their families. Ms. Wolfe moved back to New Bern in August 2005 and enjoyed her years at both Westwood Arms and Croatan Village. Before her stroke in October 2010, Connie especially enjoyed her church family, Open Door Outreach Ministries, with Pastors Ken Jarman and Frank Jackson, and the church's weekly Wednesday night Bible study. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 6:00 -7:00 p.m. at Pollock-Best Funeral Home, followed by a service at 7:00 p.m., with Pastor Jarman and Pastor Jackson officiating. Burial will be private.
