Marie J Pike

Marie J. Heins Pike, 92, of North Syracuse, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, August 18, 2013 at Iroquois Nursing Home. She graduated from North Syracuse High School and went on to marry her beloved husband, Donald, of 64 years. Marie was an outstanding woman who devoted her life to making her family happy, secure, and successful. She was kind and patient to anyone who was fortunate enough to have known her, always listening and giving encouragement. She was truly a virtuous woman,a wonderful example to all. The emptiness we feel at losing her can only be replaced by the joy we have knowing she is alive in heaven with the Lord Jesus Christ. Thank you Mama, we love you. A special thank you to all the wonderful staff on the first floor at Iroquois Nursing Home: Marie loved you all very much, and your love and kindness to her made the last year of her life a blessing. Surviving are her children, Patrick (Susan) Pike and Donna (Mark) Laurin; three grandchildren, Joe Pike, Naomi (Nelson) Mckee and Esther Laurin; a brother, Jack (Mary Ellen) Heins; three sisters, Virginia Parker, Ann (Roy) Malette, and Betty Elliot and many nieces and nephews. Services will held at 12 noon on Wednesday, August 21st, 2013 at Fergerson Funeral Home followed by burial in the Onondaga County Veterans' Memorial Cemetery. Calling hours will preceed the service from 10 am to 12 noon at the funeral home, 215 South Main Street, North Syracuse.
