Lorna Carmen Greene

Lorna Carmen (Salazar) Greene, 72, of Granby, beloved wife of Gerald Greene, died peacefully on Tuesday, October 15, 2013, at the Governor's House. She was born on May 9, 1940, in British Guiana, daughter of the late Carlos F. and Rosemarie (Fernandes) Salazar. A resident of Granby for over 23 years, she worked for The Ethel Walker School for over 24 years. Lorna loved to travel and enjoyed playing tennis, bowling and spending time with her husband. She had a special eye for gardening and enjoyed her perennial gardens and working in her yard. A kind, caring and devoted wife, mother, sister, grandmother and friend, she will be greatly missed by all. Along with her husband, Gerald, she leaves her children, John Thomas Tindall and his wife Traci of San Clemente, CA, Jeffrey Earl Tindall and his wife Dorothy of Simsbury, and Risa Beth Boerner and her husband Brian of Wayne, PA; her sister, Bernadette Ross and her husband Bob of Palo Alto, CA; her loving grandchildren who were the apple of her eye, Nikki and Casey Tindall, Alex and Harry Tindall and Lila Marie Boerner, and her nephew, Anthony Salazar. She was predeceased by her brother, Frederick Salazar, and sisters, Corina Angela Salazar and Bernice Salazar. Her family will receive friends on Saturday, October 19, 2013, from 9 to 10 a.m., at the Hayes Huling & Carmon Funeral Home, 364 Salmon Brook St., Granby; followed by a service in the funeral home at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in Granby Cemetery.
