Mr. Darryl Leroy Morton

Morton Darryl Leroy Morton, age 50, of Lancaster, PA, passed away on November 28, 2013, at his residence. Born in Lancaster, PA, he was the son of Harold L. Burton, of Mount Joy, PA and the late Viola M. Morton. He was employed as a crane operator with Arcelormittal Steel Company. He previously worked as a welder for New Holland Ford Company. Darryl attended First Assembly of God in Columbia, PA. Among his interests were being an avid Dallas Cowboys Fan, cooking and spending time with his family and friends and being a member of the Rainmakers Association. In addition to his father, Darryl is survived by a daughter Rochelle L. Adams, wife of Thomas, of Wake Forrest, NC; two sons: Darryl Leroy Morton, Jr., of Lancaster and Kole A. Morton, of Columbia; two grandchildren; two brothers: Melvin E. Lucas, of Lancaster and Juan Bailor, of Federal Way, WA. Also surviving are two sisters: Sonya R. Morton, of Lancaster and Cynthia M. Rhynes, of Brick, NJ in addition to a host of family members. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Darryl's Life Celebration Funeral Service at the Funeral Home of Fred F. Groff, Inc., 234 W. Orange St., Lancaster, PA, on Tuesday, December 10, 2013 at 2:00 PM with Rev. Robert Drescher officiating. There will be no viewing. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family. The family will receive friends on Tuesday at Fred F. Groff, Inc., from 1:00 PM until time of service.
