Howard C. Tracy,Sr., 87, of Ocala, FL, formerly of S. Windsor, CT, passed away January 6, 2014. Born in Concord, MA, he moved to Florida in 1995. He was a US Navy Veteran of WWII and retired multi machinist for Pratt & Whitney. Mr. Tracy enjoyed fishing and bowling. He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Charlotte; children, Howard C. Tracy, Jr. (Sheila) of S. Windsor, CT, Debra Boudreau (Frank) of Ocala, FL, Dwight D. Tracy (Christine) of Marlborough, CT, Kim Tasse (Rich) of Manchester, CT and Jan Lawton (Brian) of S. Windsor, CT; sister, Geraldine Locke of E. Hartford, CT; brother, Alfred H. Tracy, Jr. of Ocala and many grand and great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Alfred and Gladys Tracy and his brother, Richard Tracy. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Memorial services will be held at a later date. Uncle Howie was the uncle every kid should have. He was witty, funny and always had a smile on his face. No matter where or when I saw him, if he started off with "hey Jack", I knew there was a joke to follow. Fishing trips with Pop, Uncle Howie, and their friend Jerry was a comedy show in itself. He was loved, and will be missed, and I am so thankful for all the memories that I have of him.
