Virginia James Lively of Maryville left this world to be with her heavenly father at the age of 90 in her home on Tuesday, January 21, 2014, with her loving family by her side. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 64 years Curtis Lively who passed away in March of 2013. Virginia, or "Ginny", as referred to by her siblings, nieces and nephews, was a fifty plus year member of Monte Vista Baptist Church. Virginia and Curtis were known for the fine garden they raised together each year and how they shared the fruits of their labor with family and friends. She, along with her best friend and sister of the heart, Bea Allison were a familiar sight around their neighborhood, logging many miles during their evening strolls. Virginia is survived by her two sons and their wives, Larry and Lori Lively of Pikeville, TN, Wayne and Frankie Lively of Maryville, TN; three grandchildren, Jessi Hunt & husband Jamie of Maryville, TN, Lenny & Lindsey Lively of Pikeville, TN; two great-grandchildren, Shelby & Hailey Hunt of Maryville, TN. She has one surviving sister, Mary Phillips of Huntsville, AL. The family wishes to thank Brenda Branton and Chris Wentworth who helped care for Virginia during her last two years with us. Also they would like to thank Girling Home Health as well as Blount Memorial Hospice. Family will receive friends from 2:00 PM until 3:00 PM, Friday, January 24, 2014 at Smith Trinity Chapel with funeral service to follow at 3:00 PM. The interment will follow at Grandview Cemetery.
