Anthony A. Apuzzo, 80, of Lynnfield died on July 13, 2013 at his residence.

Born in Newark, New Jersey, he was the son of the late Charles and Mary (Amendola) Apuzzo.

Anthony was a graduate of Irvington High School, Class of 1950, and Rutgers University. He was a retired engineer for Northrup Company in Norwood, MA. Anthony was an Army Veteran.

Anthony is survived by his loving wife Lorraine (Himpele) Apuzzo, his children Linda Doherty and her husband Michael of Naperville, Illinois and Anthony Apuzzo, Jr. and his wife Michelle of Leawood, Kansas, his brother Charles Apuzzo and his wife Grace, of Manchester, New Jersey.

Anthony is also survived by his grandchildren Jaclyn Veile and her husband Daniel, Michael and Kevin Doherty, Matthew, Thomas and Kimberly Apuzzo.

A private funeral service will be held in the McDonald Funeral Home Interment will be at Forest Hill Cemetery in Lynnfield.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 330 Congress St., 5th Floor, Boston, MA 02210.
