Helen Colbert Obituary
Born on February 19, 1929 she was the daughter of the late Robert J. and Ella Mae (Garrity) Kelley.
Mrs. Colbert was a graduate of Lexington High School, Class of 1941 and Regis College, Class of 1951. She enjoyed being in the boat business and Boating. Mrs. Colbert was a CCD teacher at Our Lady of the Assumption Church in Lynnfield. Her hobbies included; sewing, cross stitching, walking and baking.
Mrs. Colbert was the wife of the late David V. Colbert. She was the mother of Helen Marcotti and her husband Thomas of Peabody, Ann Angelli and her husband William of Lynn, Thomas Colbert and his wife Elizabeth of Westborough, Matthew Colbert and his wife Rosemarie of Sebastian, FL, William Colbert and his wife Heather of Newton, N.H., Peter Colbert and his wife Lisa of Byfield, and the late David V. Colbert, Jr. She was the sister of Louise M Collins of Longmeadow, MA and Mary L. McNamara of Lexington. Mrs. Colbert is also survived by 14 grandchildren; David, Kevin and Timothy Angelli of Lynn, Cara, Emma and Michael Colbert of Westborough, Matthew, Jr., Caroline and Daniel Colbert of Florida, Lydia, Rebecca and Rachel Colbert of New Hampshire and Savanaugh and Vanessa Colbert of Byfield and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral from the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave, Wakefield on Thursday at 9am followed by a Funeral Mass in the Our Lady of the Assumption Church, corner of Salem and Grove Sts., at 10am. Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the Funeral Home on Wednesday from 4-8pm. Interment will be at Forest Hill Cemetery in Lynnfield.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Malden Catholic High School c/o David V. Colbert, Jr. Scholarship Fund, 99 Crystal St., Malden, MA 02148.
