11th Grade American History at BHS. Legendary, intimidating looking, but what a sweet and wonderful man! And a passionate, devoted and gifted teacher. So many things about his earlier days that I never knew... What a man, a mensch. He gave so much to so many.

Mr. Wright taught our daughter history at Brookline High School, class of 1975...he got rave reviews and I was always amazed at the delight our child took in attending his classes.

I was privileged to be a student in Mr. Wright's American History class in my junior year at Brookline High 1959-60. He came to a number of our reunions and we exchanged reminiscences and via mail, particularly about classmates who had died prematurely.
I hadn't known of his musical talents or of his military service in both WWII and Korea. He was so modest, but at least now we know that we were taught the history of our country by a member of "the greatest generation."
What a gift it would be if every high school student in the USA could be as fortunate as we were to have such a teacher.
Bradford Wright, may YOUR name be for a blessing.

I am so very sorry to hear about the death of Mr. Wright. I was BHS Class of '76......he and Jim Dudley were the reasons I stayed in school, they were the only classes I really cared about. He made a tremendous difference to an awful of of young people and he spent his life doing what he truly loved.....what a wonderful life. best wishes to you all. ---Jack Tarlin, BHS '76, Harpers Ferry WV

I took two courses from Mr. Wright in 58-59 and 59-60. In a school full of good teachers and stimulating courses, these two were the best and he was my favorite. There is not a day when I read the paper that I do not think of what he taught me. Interestingly, although I read about his interest in his faith, those views never came out in his classroom; on the contrary he taught me the importance of the separation of church and state which remains critical in my political thinking today. The highest praise follows: he was a great teacher.

Brad was my valued colleague for decades at Brookline High. He was the epitome of a scholar and a gentleman. With a great sense of fun and a lack of ego, Brad was the best.

Dear Wright Family, welcoming next door neighbors, deeply saddened about the passing away of Brad, we will remember him as a wonderful man, cheerful to all of us as we lived next door on Seldenstreet one, during the years 1977 to 1980. With love from the Willi Family in Switzerland: Ruth and Ulrich with Pascal, Michel, Eléonore and Victor.

Who can forget Mr. Wright's red hair with a white streak and, more importantly, his stellar teaching of history? He was an early inspiration for me to become a teacher.
