Barbara H Clark

Barbara H. Clark Barbara H. Sabine Clark, 89, passed away Monday, July 7, 2014 at Park Central. Born in Syracuse to the late Royce J. and Else M. Ringling Sabine, she graduated from Central High School and Rochester Business School. She was a Coast Guard Veteran of World War II serving from June 1945 to May 1946. Since 1948, Mrs. Clark had resided in North Syracuse and was a member of Andrews Memorial Methodist Church. She was predeceased by her husband of almost 60 years, Kenneth, by her son, Michael and by two sisters. Surviving are her daughter, Cynthia (Peter, Jr.) Slifka of North Syracuse; seven grandchildren, David Slifka, Eric (Jennifer) Slifka, Kimberly (George) Cavanaugh, Jennifer (Steve) Skiff, Adam (Amanda) Slifka, Sarah Pryor and Michael (Ashley Shufelt) Slifka; ten great grandchildren, Connor, Sophie, Madeleine, Noah, Emily, Lauren, Nicholas, Aaron, Lily and McKenna; several nieces and nephews and Charlie. Services will be Friday, July 11th at 10 am at Fergerson Funeral Home and at 11 am Andrews Memorial United Methodist Church, 106 Church Street, both in North Syracuse. Burial with Military Honors will be in North Syracuse Cemetery, 555 South Bay Road, North Syracuse. Calling hours will be Thursday from 4:00 to 7:00 pm at the funeral home, 215 South Main Street, North Syracuse.
