Christopher "Chris Low" Maciejewski

Christopher M. Maciejewski, age 29, of Wilmington, DE passed away Wednesday, August 6, 2014 at Christiana Hospital. Chris was a graduate of Mount Pleasant High School. He was employed by Two Men and a Truck, Wilmington, DE. Chris, also known as "Chris Low" loved working on cars. In his earlier years, he took pleasure in restoring older vehicles. He started the Forever Low Car and Truck Club, Wilmington, DE, where he enjoyed the camaraderie of other car enthusiasts. Chris was creative and inventive. He could always find a way to fix or modify something and make it work. His other hobbies included "stunting" on anything with wheels and a passion for fishing in his spare time. Chris was always willing to lend a hand to others and he could always make one laugh with his fun-loving, quick-witted nature. He was a loving husband, father, and son. Chris' greatest pleasure was spending time with his daughter teaching her, nurturing her with love, and experiencing all of the wonders of the world with her. He is survived by his wife, Jennifer A. Clements-Maciejewski; his pride and joy, daughter, Layla; mother, Teresa A. Maciejewski; sister, Valarie O'Brien; grandfather, Charles J. Domaszewski, and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family. He will be dearly missed by all his family and friends. Chris was predeceased by his father, Richard F. "Scottie" Maciejewski. A viewing will be held Monday evening, August 11, 2014 from 6 to 8pm and again on Tuesday morning, August 12, 2014 from 10 to 10:30am at Gebhart Funeral Home, 3401 Philadelphia Pike, Claymont, DE 19703. Mass of Christian Burial will be offered Tuesday morning, 11am at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 3200 Philadelphia Pike, Claymont, DE 19703. Burial will be private.
