Frances J. Engle

Frances J. Engle, age 82 of Ann Arbor died Monday, March 2, 2015 at home. She was born October 3, 1932 in Detroit to Edward and Margaret (Fradsham) Jacobson. She married Edward Engle, Sr. in 1972 in San Antonio, TX. He preceded her in death on March 1, 1997. Frances received her Bachelor of Science from Siena Heights University and attended nursing school in London, Ontario. Frances proudly served her country as a Major in U.S. Air Force. She had worked at Bixby Hospital and Lenawee Public Health Department. Frances is survived by three sisters, Mary E. Jacobson of London Ontario, Canada, Susan Bryden Jacobson and Karen J. Millikin both of Ann Arbor; nieces and nephews, Anne Margaret (Shawn) Engle Cummings, Laura (Richard) Engle Tomasello, Jed (Jenny) Engle, Elizabeth (Robert) Engle Wendt, Matthew R. Millikin, and Christopher E. Millikin; grand nieces and nephews E.J. Engle IV, Sarah Engle, Hannah Engle, Rebekah Engle, Abbie Tomasello, Anna Tomasello, Julia Tomasello, Jon Tomasello, Jacob Cummings, Benjamin Cummings, Will Wendt, Andrew Wendt, Jack Wendt and Ethan Millikin. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, and a sister, H. Patricia Jacobson. The Funeral Liturgy for Frances was held Thursday, March 5, 2015 at St. Mary of Good Counsel Parish with Father Shaun Lowery as celebrant. Cremation followed the service.
