Mrs. Landon worked as a nurse for 44 years. In that time, she worked as the Nursing Supervisor at the Southwood Hospital in Norfolk, Massachusetts and in the Norwood Hospital in Norwood, Massachusetts. In addition, she was an instructor for the Nursing Program at the University of Vermont in the Fletcher Allen Hospital, and worked for the Colchester, Vermont VNA.
She enjoyed gardening, cooking, and spending time outdoors, especially at the beach. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family.
Beloved wife of Horace B. Landon. Loving mother of Scott B. Landon of Burnham, ME, Shirley A. King of Wirtz, VA, Jeannette M. Mitchell of Marietta, GA, and the late Susan M. Landon. Cherished grandmother of Chelsea, Alyssa, Emily, Cassidy, Jimmy, Lucas, and Connor. Sister of Dorothy McDonnell of Mulberry, FL, Mary Mullin of West Roxbury, Patricia Spring of Randolph, Kathleen Connor of West Roxbury, the late Peter Connor, and the late James Connor. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial that will be celebrated at Saint Jude's Church 86 Main Street Norfolk on Tuesday, March 12, 2013at 10:00 AM. Visiting hours are Monday, March 11, 2013 from 4-7PMat James H. Delaney & Son Funeral Home48 Common Street Walpole. Interment will be private. Memorial donations may be made to: Saint Jude's Church 86 Main Street Norfolk, MA 02056.
