Everett F. Johnson, 93, of West Hartford, husband of Norma (Liljedahl) Johnson, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, May 12, 2015. Born in Hartford, the son of Fred H. and Ingrid (Fernquist) Johnson, he was a lifelong resident of West Hartford. Everett graduated from William H. Six months later Everett began his service with the U.S. Army and fought in the Battle of the Bulge with General Patton's Third Army. After his honorable service, he returned to Pratt & Whitney and completed his training. He joined Nielsen Tool & Die of Wethersfield and enjoyed a 50 year career there, retiring as an estimator. Everett was a member of Emanuel Lutheran Church in Hartford, a member of the West Hartford Exchange Club for over 40 years, and a longtime member of the West Hartford Squires. He enjoyed golf and he and Norma traveled around the world. In addition to Norma, his wife of 71 years, Everett leaves two children and their spouses, William and Barbara Johnson of West Hartford and Lynn and Jim Smith of Omaha, NE; and their families. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 16, 2015 at Emanuel Lutheran Church, Hartford. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family. My deepest sympathy to you, Norma, and your family. Remembering fondly our summer days on River Road in Madison. So many years have passed but I often think of those days. Again, my sympathy to you and yours. Janice (Cowles) Sperry
