Jimmy Richardson Key went to be with the Lord on Sunday, June 10, 2007 in San Antonio, Texas. He was born on August 2, 1929 in Shattuck, Oklahoma to Stanley and Virgie R. Key of Perryton, Texas where he grew up. He earned a Bachelor's Degree from Baylor University and a Master's Degree from the University of Texas at Austin. Jimmy served in the Marine Corps in Korea. Throughout his career, he was a Minister of Music in several Baptist Churches and an editor of Denominational Children's Music Peridodicals. He is survived by his loving wife, Edna M. Key; children, Kendall and Elaine Key, Kelly and Robin Key, Christy Connor and Michael Connor; grandchildren, Solara Key, Ryan, Katy, Kris and Rachel Key and Matthew and Michael Connor. He is also survived by his brother, Dr. Jerry Key and wife, Johnnie; and numerous nieces and nephews.
