James Moore

Mr. H. James Moore born March 14th 1921 to Thomas and Dempsey Moore of Ashdown, passed away peacefully in the early morning hours of Saturday, June 13th, 2015. He was 94 years of age. A veteran of World War II and the Korean War, he served his country with honor, valor, and dedication obtaining the rank of Sergeant in the United States Army. He was the owner of Ashdown Collision Service for many years and enjoyed fishing, golf, gardening, and in later years, songwriting and singing for the family. Mr. Moore is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Edith H. Moore, four brothers, Thomas Moore, Albert (Red) Moore, Kelly Moore, and Richard Moore, and two sisters Delphine Rathburn, and Valerie Fleming. Surviving family members are two twin daughters, Lisa (Moore) Bowen and Teresa (Moore) Hall, son-in-law Gary R. Hall, two grandchildren; Codi Blair and David Platz, as well as many nieces and nephews. All are invited to celebrate Mr. Moore's long wonderful life at the First Baptist Church of Ashdown located on the corner of Park Avenue and Rankin Street in Ashdown.
