Elliott Hudson Obituary

Published by Porter Loring Mortuary North on Jul. 17, 2015.
Elliott Donté Hudson, age 23, passed away on Friday, July 17, 2015 in San Antonio. He was born on August 28, 1991 in Peterborough, New Hampshire to Gregory and Shari Hudson. Elliott was a courageous and loyal son with awesome talent and potential. Elliott departed this life on Friday, July 17, 2015 in San Antonio TX. As part of a Military family, Elliott received his early education at two elementary schools: Olympia Elementary, San Antonio; and Edward Hynes Elementary, New Orleans. Returning to San Antonio, Elliott re-united with many friends in particular Alicia Rogers, Philip Gaines, and the San Antonio Ro-Hawks Family during middle school. Throughout Elliott's elementary and middle school years, he achieved Honor Roll and High Honor Roll status to match his growing capabilities. Elliott's next four years were spent at Judson High School developing key friendships and building relationships with the awesome and watchful parents of the Judson Rockets Family. Elliott culminated his high school career by graduating as a member of the National Society of High School Scholars. Elliott attended the University of Incarnate Word (UIW) during his collegiate years. Elliott received a Bachelor of Business Management (Sports Management) in 2014 with a 3.2 GPA. During this time of his life, Ms. Jamara Henry became and remains the special woman in his life. Everyone recognized Elliott as a young man with a variety of talents beyond athletics. He demonstrated this ability by teaching himself music and maturing his skills to recognized artists from Miami, Atlanta, and Dallas. This talent can be traced to his great-grandmother (a music professor) and her first cousin, Leontyne Price (the world-renowned opera singer). Another example of Elliott's variety of talent was his ability to learn and speak Mandarin Chinese as a second language. In addition, Elliott was gifted at developing video animation to support the mentorship program "Becoming a Better You" for SRG Force Sports, a non-profit organization. Finally, his greatest talent was bringing people together and his unquestionable loyalty to his friends. Elliott was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Keith Bernard Hudson and Delois Hudson; his uncle, Kenneth A. Hudson. Elliott is survived by his parents, Gregory R. and Shari Hudson; maternal grandparents, George A. Marshall and Pearlie M. Marshall; sister, Lataisha R. Clark; niece, Jada S. Clark; nephew Avion G. Clark; cousin/brother, Douglas A. Hudson, Jr. and wife, Wanda; girlfriend, Jamara V. Henry; uncles: George A. Marshall, Jr., Gregory Marshall, Mark A. Marshall, Eric Marshall, Douglas A. Hudson, Sr., Reginald A. Hudson and wife, Maria; also great aunts, great uncles, a host of cousins and friends.
