My name is Laura Blake, I met Bill in 1979 in Carbondale, we worked together at Stan Hoye's and were best friends until I moved in 1983, our friendship did not end there. I went to Canada with him thru Golden Frontier tours, met his mother a few times for dinner in St. Louis, picked him up from the airport when he returned from Peru, met him in New Orleans for a long weekend. I am heartbroken, I had been trying to contact him for the last couple of years. I love you Bill, see you on the other side. All my love to his family, I can't imagine...here he is in 1980, lighting the sterno for the Sunday buffet at Stan Hoye's, our home away from home.

Bill, It's obvious you touched so many lives just by being you. You were a kind soul, a friend to all, had a smile that was contagious and a real pleasure to work with. Thank you for being you. Miss you.

POSH meaning Elegant and Fancy. I said to Bill one day this year that he elevated our eating experience to Posh. He had not heard of this word but he liked it. It describes his personality "classy" and we laughed at it, in fact it describes him to a tea. He was "classy". I will miss my Posh friend.

Bill's friendship was very special to me. He was a very loving, supportive and caring individual. Our lives drifted apart these past few years, where distance and time slowed our friendship. Always fond and enjoyable memories where his smile, humor and love resonate. Happy for the friendship that will always warm my heart and brighten my life. You are missed.

So sad to see you go my friend. Bill used to bring my favorite Rice Krispy Treat for me at work. On this day he decided to eat it in front of me just to be naughty. Bill was a good friend of mine in the late 1980's and early 1990's when we both lived in Carbondale, IL and worked together with Golden Frontier Tours. Bill was so full of life and we shared many laughs, as well as tears. I had so much fun hanging out and traveling with Bill. He was a great prankster, a really good listener, and truly one of the brightest lights in my life at that time. Thanks for the memories, Bill. My heart goes out to all of his family and friends at this time. Rest in peace, dear friend.

Bill I will always cherish the time we had together. Your smile always brightened my day. We've had so many good times traveling. I will never forget the time we were laughing and talking in the airport that we missed our flight. We didn't hear them call our name. We swore no one would know if this and now I'm letting everyone know. You were always there for me through good times and bad. You had such a kind heart and free spirit. I miss you my friend. You've touched so many lives and I will forever carry you in my heart!
